White but not as we know it

Sofie wanted to create a multi-functional open plan kitchen-diner and play room. The goal was to keep a simple, contemporary colour scheme, as well as creating a connection with nature and the outdoor space.

Sofie focused on getting the colour balance just right, with natural tones that brightened up a truly minimalist space.

Smart storage is essential for family life. By adding a play platform, she was able to define the ‘play zone’ while building in deep pull-out drawers for storing away the children’s toys.

The addition of a feature wall mural not only adds subtle colour and a whole bunch of WOW factor, it also increases the all important outside-inside feel to this space and the connection with the outdoors.

The kitchen dining area feels very separate from the playing and relaxing zone. The use of plants and botancial prints unifies the whole space.
